Steven Gallegos studied at New Mexico Highlands University, completing his bachelor’s degree in psychology. He subsequently earned an MHA (health care administration) degree at Central Michigan University. His military training includes graduation from the Command and General Staff College and the Battalion Commander's Course.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Gallegos has written and refined a number of national health policies and programs related to U.S. military personnel. He is professionally affiliated with organizations such as the Association of Military Surgeons of the United States and the Association of Military Health Information Managers.
